PLAYWRIGHT
Kaeli Meno (they/she) is a Queer and Chamorro director and playwright with an emphasis on new work.
Most recently seen having worked on Willed Bodies and Ways and Means' production of What the Constitution Means to Me. They have directed new work pieces with TranScript Productions, The Feast Collective, Make/Believe Festival at Ghostlight Ensemble, Playground Chicago, and the Valdez Theater Conference. They also assisted directed on MedeaMedeaMedea (Theatre Evolve) and Thanksgiving Play (Steppenwolf Theatre Company).
Her writing has been supported or developed by (W)rites of Summer (Story Theatre), Sad Boy Hours, Jackalope Theater, and the Valdez Theater Conference.
Through all of their endeavors, they seek to support the growing community of Chicago artista. Originally from Alaska, Kaeli received their Bachelor's in Theater and History from the University of Alaska.
